Global Engagement Minor Info Session & Student Panel

Dear Class of 2026,

I’m writing to introduce you to the Global Engagement Minor (GEM), a unique opportunity for Wesleyan students from all majors to explore and integrate their language and cultural interests, academic pursuits, and extracurricular activities in learning how to navigate the world. The GEM provides flexibility like no other, allowing you to select courses that provide a global perspective according to your interests, continue previous language study or begin a new language, and engage in culturally immersive opportunities to earn the minor.

Applications to the minor are due on March 31st, and the first requirement of the minor is the gateway course, Introduction to Global Engagement, CGST 205, offered only in your sophomore first semester. If you’d like to learn more, please register to attend our GEM Info Session and Student Panel on March 8th, 5:00 pm, in Fisk 121. Three current minors will share their experiences, we’ll go over the structure of the minor, and answer questions – snacks will be served!

If you’re interested but unable to attend, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to meet individually.

I look forward to meeting you!
